The 3 best ways to feel your pulse race in Canberra City

Australia’s capital is a popular tourist destination with the usual draw cards: The Australian War Memorial, Questacon and The Parliament House – but now Canberra is quickly becoming a mecca for thrill-seekers!

  1. Experience Skydiving

Skydiving is a bit of an obvious choice for the ultimate adrenaline rush but in Canberra you get to see the architecturally designed city and the key landmarks on your flight up to altitude, feel the rush of free fall for up to 60 seconds then take in the air flying your parachute right in the heart of the capital, making it especially worth the while. The experience only takes around 3 hours from start to finish – where you land on the grass in Deakin Oval opposite The Royal Australian Mint. Skydive Oz Canberra are highly reccomended  and offer tandem skydiving each weekend. Find out more at If you’re planning on heading to South Coast during your trip, the same company (Skydive Oz) operates a beachside Skydive Facility which offers beach landings, week-long solo skydiving course (where you can gain you AFF license) and accommodation. You can find out more information on their website.

  1. Race Go Karts

If the weather is a little too inclement for skydiving, visit the team at Power Karts and race your mates around the F1 style indoor circuit on the high-speed, high-torque, electric powered racing karts. The venue is great, food & drinks are available and there are even smaller karts for the kids!

  1. Hot Air Ballooning

Ballooning is not usually an adrenaline fuelled adventure, unless you have vertigo – and let’s face it, most of us experience fear of heights on some level!  It can definitely be an unforgettable experience.  Balloon Aloft regularly take passengers over the capital city and have excellent reviews.

So next time you have the opportunity to visit the ACT, step outside your norm and challenge your fears – I promise it will be something you cherish forever.

Tips On Keeping Your New York City Trip Affordable

New York City is often considered the central point of activity among both locals and visitors. To accommodate these visitors, there is a wide variety of New York City hotels. There are budget hotels in Manhattan from Wall Street to Harlem. Some are boutique hotels and some are popular chains, but they all offer cheap accommodation for travelers on a budget.

Luxury in the City

If shopping and entertainment are your goal, there are hotels near Times Square and Rockefeller Center that put you near all the theater and shopping action. There is even a luxury hotel on the waterfront with views of the Statue of Liberty.

Outside Manhattan

Low-cost hotels can also be found in Long Island City with spectacular views of Manhattan, as well as cheap rooms in Brooklyn. Staten Island has unique bed and breakfast inns as well as popular hotel chains. There are also great city views across the East River. The hotels are cheaper than in the city, and many offer free shuttles to and from Manhattan. In some hotels, visitors enjoy views of the Hudson River from their rooms as well as from a rooftop bar with faux grass, a plunge pool and dance floor.

Vacation and Room Rentals

Vacation rentals offer affordable accommodation in some of the best districts in the city. You can have a three-bedroom apartment on Central Park for less than a hotel in the same location. With a fully equipped kitchen, you’ll save money on food and be able to dine at one of the many high-end restaurants in the city. Locals often rent a bedroom to visitors for a win/win situation. The local gets a little extra cash, and the visitor gets cheap, safe accommodation.

Hostels for the Budget Traveler

The hostels in New York offer much cheaper prices than even the cheapest hotels. Some have private rooms and most have communal kitchens. Staying at hostels can seriously cut your travel budget, and another advantage is the social life. You’ll meet like-minded people who want to enjoy the city life without spending a small fortune.

When to Visit New York City

Like any big city, the hotels offer cheaper rates at certain times of the year. The best time to get low rates is after New Year’s. The two months leading up to January first are considered high season and a very exciting time to be in the city. However, if your aim is to see the sights, it’s recommended to avoid these times. Hotels may raise their rates the days around Fashion Week, but, on the whole, you can see everything you want for an affordable price.

Some of the Iconic Sights

Central Park, for a bit of nature, the Empire State Building, Times Square and the Chrysler Building are all in Manhattan. Uptown you can visit Harlem and the famous Apollo Theater, the Black Fashion Museum and the African-American Wax Museum. Some of the best entertainment and shopping is in midtown, and you can visit Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The Upper East Side is where the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum are.

There may be good reasons why locals believe that New York is the center of the universe. Without spending an astronomical sum, you can see for yourself.

How To Find The Exact Place While Driving

I am a business man and I need to move different place for meeting with the people around the United States. Therefore, I do not know about the different ways and routes of the different city. Usually I ask to the people while driving or use my smart phone for watching the map on Google map, but most of the time it happens that my 3G network does not work properly and the Google map does not become able to guide me properly. However, I need to ask from the people who live there and in all this process, I become very late for meetings.

Most of the time, I have to cancel the meeting because I do not know about any particular place. It is very difficult to drive the car in strange places because the routes continuously change and you become unable to know about that place. Therefore, one day I was searching any application online regarding the Map that could continuously work even the internet connection does not remain on the smart phone. It is a most wonderful application that has made my life very easy and comfortable. Now I just move out of the home for a meeting with the people without the fear of routes.

The magical thing about this application is that, it works continuously without the internet connection because already this application contains the whole world map in it. Even it is not so much heavy application that would hang your smart phone. You can easily download it from the app store and use it. The most amazing feature of this application is that, you can record the whole route from this map. After starting the recording, select the location from where you will move out and select another location where you want to move into the country. This application would automatically create your route and will save the file. Therefore, while driving the car, you can open that route and can easily watch each of the routes clearly without internet connection. It is a most amazing application that has made my life very easy.

Now before moving to any place, I just record my route and easily reach on the place in just few minutes. Even I use this application for traveling to the different cities and it helps me a lot. I suggest the people to use the for making their life easy. You can install this application on any of your operating system, it, supports, Android, IOS and other operating system as well. It is very simple to install on the smart phone, simply download it to your phone and click on it, it would automatically would install an icon would appear.

Those people who use the IPhone, they can find this application in the app store on the iPhone easily that would make your life simple and fast and now you do not need to ask anyone about routes, you can easily reach to your desire destination.

American Luxury Limousine | The Malibu’s Wine Trail

Rosenthal Wine Bar on P.C.H. across from Topanga State Beach is the areas only wine tasting room on PCH (look for the giant wine bottle and glasses atop a giant lifeguard stand). Its spacious interior, fresh-cut flowers, and picture windows with ocean views set the mood for savoring its two labels, Surfrider  and Rosenthal Malibu Estate.

George Rosenthal, film industry magnate and successful businessman, is the areas pioneer vintner who in 1987 planted Mailbu’s first  vineyard (since Prohibition) on his 230-acre estate retreat, but not before conducting years of research studying the area’s geology, soils, and conditions.

With a warm welcome, the tasting room manager leads you through a delightful journey possibly starting with the 2013 Surfrider Viognier (deliciously clean and floral) and the 2011 Rosenthal Malibu Estate Chardonnay.  It’s crisp and light with hints of honey; you could easily sip this all afternoon.

In addition to Chardonnay others grown on the Rosenthal Estate include Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Merlot,  Petit Verdot, and its crown jewel, Cabernet Sauvignon.

Surfrider wines—produced from California Central Coast varietals—include Pinot Noir, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Orange Muscat. The Surfrider label is a tribute to the sea he loves and a percentage of the proceeds is donated to foundations that maintain the quality of the local ocean.

The grassy outdoor patio allows you to enjoy the sunset and live music (there is live entertainment every weekend). Some bring their own picnic baskets while others purchase food from the gourmet food truck parked in the lot. Try an order of sweet potato fries with truffle aioli and pair it with a bottle of the 2009 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.  Yummy!

Make your way to Malibu Family Wines, only six miles from the coast on Mulholland Highway. The tasting room is outdoors with plenty of umbrellas, tables, and shade trees surrounded by sloping vineyards. Guests are usually queuing up at the iron gates, picnic baskets in hand, before the 11 a.m., so be sure to book a private table through American Luxury Limousine, as we have a exclusive arrangement with the venue.

In the gorgeous setting of Malibu Family Wines try a Saddlerock Brut, Saddlerock Pinot Noir, or a Semler Estate Malbec.

Saddlerock Ranch of Malibu Family Wines, owned by Ron Semler and his wife, Lisa, is located on Mulholland Highway in an area where cattle and sheep once grazed.  It was part of the Spanish Land Grants between the late 18th and early 19th century. It is currently a landscape of peaceful vineyards. Varietals grown include Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, and Malbec.

The atmosphere at Malibu Wine Limousine is always upbeat and hopping (a typical weekend day guests celebrate birthdays, couples sit starry-eyed, and guitarists provide hours of relaxing music.)

Considerations When Planning an R.V Travel

Jumping into the old RV and going camping or just traveling for a few days around the country is great but there are certain things that have to be taken into account, otherwise your pleasant trip might turn into an unexpected adventure (the kind they make stupid comedies about). You shouldn’t just make this decision spontaneously even though it might seem like a good idea at the time. An RV travel has to be well-planned or you might not like the end result. But enough introduction – let me tell you a bit about those considerations.

Most modern RVs have their own refrigerators and stoves so cooking won’t be a problem. However, you need to make a plan, a menu, if you will, so you know what you’re going to cook and what products you will need. Just having random food items in the fridge just isn’t enough. What you need is to carefully plan ahead. This way you will have the right ingredients and you will be able to grant your family with a balanced meal every time, instead of taking refuge in the nearest fast food joint.

Estimate the length of the trip

How long will you be gone? This is a crucial question. You need to be able to answer before you hop into the RV. You need to find someone to water your plants and feed your dog. It would be a good idea to have a neighbor watching after your estate while you’re gone – things happen, and you never know what occurrences might come about. That’s why you need to know in advance how long you will be gone.

Now, your RV may or may not have a washing machine, so it’s important to bring an adequate amount of clothes for the trip. You don’t want to wear the same pants for five days in a row, now, do you? Make sure that you plan the accordingly. This is generally related to the top consideration. If you’re going away for few days, then you can pack lightly. If you’re going to travel for a few weeks, however, it would be generally a good idea to have most of your wardrobe with you.

A spare can of gas is always good to have. You never know when you might run out of gas and when that happens in the middle of nowhere, you want to be prepared. It’s not just because you don’t want your wife to nag at your for forgetting to fill up the gas tank after she told you 3 times (and we both know she only told you 2 times, anyway), but because generally, it’s unpleasant to be stranded in the middle of the road. Trust, I had to learn this the hard way. Oh, and while we’re at it, get a spare battery and a spare tire just in case.

We both know you’re too stubborn to ask for directions. That’s why having a GPS is invaluable – you don’t have to sacrifice your integrity by asking a total stranger for directions, essentially admitting you’re not competent enough. No, this puppy will get you where you want to, when you want to be and will guide through the whole process of going there. And the best part is that it’s a machine, a piece of technology, so it doesn’t make you feel inferior.

A Survival Guide

Hey, you never know what might happen and when. All the preparation in the world might not be enough if a disaster strikes. That’s why having a survival guide and general information about the area you’re going to might be invaluable. Bon voyage!
